SORT OUR SMEARS CAMPAIGN – ART AS ACTIVISM 2019

PREVIOUS PROJECTS:

2019       ‘STITCHED WITH LOVE’ 2017 to 2019 a collaborative community  art project to make ‘ THE COVERING’ The Tuam Baby Blanket, with 796 white handcrafted squares created by hundreds of women from Ireland and abroad to commemorate the 796 missing babies and children thought to be buried at Tuam Mother and Baby Home. Celtic Healing Ceremony performed by Karen Ward, Moon Mna, where the blanket was placed over the burial site by survivors and families on a public memorial day in 2018.  This blanket will now travel to KOLO Women’s Cross Cultural Collaboration International Summit in Sarajevo in June 2019
